Walleye Spawning Table.
Weight Table

EUTROPHIC LAKES.

Eutrophic defines as such; High fertility.

Walleye will spawn in streams that flow into the lake.  As these streams are usually silted in, the walleye will spawn at night and return to the lake at day break.

Walleye will move to various parts of the lake after spawning. They can be found around  points, distinct drop offs, in patches of weeds and irregular break lines. Most of the walleyes will be in these areas close to where they have spawned.

As summer moves on, the walleye will be found around reefs and submerged islands. If the eutrophic lake doesn't contain structure like this they will be found at their post spawn habitat. Walleyes in this type of lake love the weeds. They will be found in the densest parts as this will  provide them the cover and forage that they need. The walleye will stay shallower than fifteen feet. Below the thermocline lacks sufficient oxygen in some eutrophic lakes.

As fall approaches the water begins to cool. As there are only a few degrees separating the top half and the bottom half, the walleye will still be found at their summer locations. As the fall  progresses the water cools enough to kill off the weeds and plankton. The walleye will feed in low light conditions. When it is bright out the walleye will cease to feed. Fish in the early mornings and evenings or in rough water condition.
